Catholic Physicians

The following list of physicians are baptized and confirmed Catholics who are members of our Guild. They have been interviewed by a member of the board of the Guild and have agreed to be listed here and to adhere to:

1) The Catechism of the Catholic Church.
2) The Ethical and Religious Directives, 6th edition, set forth by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (www.usccb.org/resources/ethical-religious-directives-catholic-health-service-sixth-edition-2016-06_0.pdf).
3) The ethical and position statements of the Catholic Medical Association (www.cathmed.org/programs-resources/)
and the National Catholic Bioethics Center (www.ncbcenter.org/bioethics-resources).
4) Praying for the church, the nation, their families, their patients, and themselves.
5) Practicing evidence-based scientific medicine from a Catholic perspective, incorporating Catholic spirituality into their medical care as appropriate to the situation.
6) Care for everyone, regardless of religion, or lack thereof.
7) Accompanying all their patients, who are all created in the image and likeness of God.

They are listed here in alphabetical order with their field of specialty.  If there is a hyperlink, it is to the website of their choosing.  Last update 2/16/2023.

1. Roy J. Heyne, MD - Pediatrics (Low Birthweight Clinic)
2. Cesar S. Termulo, MD - Pediatrics
3. Jeffrey R. Thompson, MD - Nephrology
4. Mayra Jimenez Thompson, MD - Gynecology - 972-528-5590

That a physician's name is not listed here does not mean, nor is it meant to imply, that they are not a Catholic or qualified physician.  They may be unaware of this list or unwilling to have their name listed here for reasons other than disagreeing with the tenets shown above.
